2 oz bourbon

0.75 oz simple syrup

6-8 fresh mint leaves

Crushed ice

In a Julep cup or whiskey glass, muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup using a muddler.

Add about 1/3 of the glass with crushed ice and stir lightly to mix everything together.

Next, pour 2 oz of bourbon over the crushed ice and stir lightly again to incorporate the bourbon into the mixture.

Add the rest of the crushed ice to the top of the glass.

For decoration, you can add a fresh mint sprig on top.
