Tequila Sazerac Ingredients:


2 oz Tequila reposado
1 sugar cube
2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 tsp absinthe
1 lemon peel for garnish

Tequila Sazerac Instructions:


In a mixing glass, pour 1 sugar cube and add 2 dashes of Peychaud's Bitters and 1 dash of Angostura Bitters.
Slightly crush the sugar cube with a mixing spoon to dissolve it into the bitters.
Add 2 oz Tequila reposado and fill the mixing glass with ice.
Stir well with a mixing spoon until the mixture is well chilled.
In an Old Fashioned glass, pour 1 tsp of absinthe and tilt the glass so that the absinthe coats all sides of the glass.
Discard the excess absinthe.
Pour the Tequila, bitters and sugar cube mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass.
Add a large ice cube to the glass.
Garnish with a twist of lemon peel, twisting it slightly to release the lemon oils on top of the cocktail.
