Watermelon Margarita – Summer Freshness
A fruity and light version of the classic Mexican cocktail
The Watermelon Margarita is a refreshing and summery twist on the classic Margarita. By combining blanco tequila with the juicy flesh of watermelon, triple sec, and lime juice, this cocktail becomes sweeter, fruitier, and more refreshing. An ideal recipe for sunny days or a poolside aperitif.

Ingredients for Watermelon Margarita
- 5 cl blanco tequila
- 3 cl watermelon juice (or 100 g fresh watermelon pulp blended)
- 2 cl lime juice
- 2 cl triple sec (Cointreau or similar)
- Ice cubes
- Garnish: watermelon triangle, lime slice, salt to rim the glass
How to Make Watermelon Margarita
- Rim the edge of a Margarita glass with salt (rub a lime wedge and dip it in a saucer of salt).
- In a shaker, add the tequila, watermelon juice, triple sec, and lime juice.
- Add ice cubes and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- Strain into the chilled Margarita glass.
- Garnish with a slice or triangle of watermelon and a lime slice.

- Add a touch of agave syrup if your watermelon isn’t very sweet.
- Replace the triple sec with elderflower liqueur for a more floral version.
